Overdose

The term overdose (or OD) describes the ingestion or application of a drug or other substance in quantities greater than are recommended or generally practiced. An overdose is widely considered dangerous as it can result in death.

Overdose deaths can be prevented by Good Samaritan Policies, which shield people from punishment if they call for help during an overdose emergency.
